Terna Prize 02– Contemporary Art. Registration will be accepted through October 10th, 2009. The Award’s principal objective is to support contemporary artists and art and contribute to a new virtuous relationship among businesses, the art world and public authorities through the interconnection between culture and economy. The Award involves all of the contemporary art world and creates a circuit for promoting new talents and the role of artists as a development and search engine for new creativity. In addition to the participation of artists of all ages who work in Italy, the 2009 edition also includes the participation of Italian and foreign artists who work steadily in New York. The theme on which the artists are invited to express themselves is
“Energy : Mankind = Future : Environment. Proportions for new aesthetics”,
concepts that guide Terna in defining strategy for developing its infrastructures in an eco-sustainable way.
